"A guy(J) who lives on the streets wants to make it big in his life goes for a rich girl falls in love with her brothers fiancee(linda aka natasha) , brother a shot tempered beat-you-to-death-if-you-mess-with-him kind of a guy, a father who doesn wanna see his daughter cry and as usual love had no boundaries(or no strings attached as per the movie)the guy and his brother-in-laws fiancee run away and then the chase begins" How more cliched can a movie get and from this if they can make it work you have to give it to Hritik and Barbara who carry the done-to-death plot on their very very very sexy bodies. They look like angels who fell from the sky and to see them make out we can even listen to himesh singin this is nothin.
Linda and J who have no language in common and to communicate should depend on their eyes and silences. This actually to work on screen requires great acting skills or a pulsating chemistry (apart from the sexual one)which both of them fall short of, neither Hrithik's overactin nor barbara's lack of actin does the trick. Very stupid subplots and very very imaginary characters like the guy in the geep which j and linda hijack after robbin the bank who happens to know spanish and hindi and who traslates for them then happily, gives away his geep and his credit card to them ; maybe like us he was awed by Hrithik and Barbara and has not yet realized that he just got fucked.
The worst part of the movie is its music Rajesh Roshan is terribly outdated. He begins the song well but has no idea where to go with it, thanks to salim sulaimans background scores that make you sit for the movie. Also Hrithiks dance sequences which literally keeps your mouth open.
In the end as the movie title suggests "Kites" , how long shall you watch them , one day you see them soaring high in the sky you are amazed and amused but for how long , they are paper and plastic hardly flesh and with no strings attached they seem to go haywire.
P.S : "Oh! i forgot to mention Kangana or did I? Ah! it doesn matter anyways"
