I wanted to see the movie when i heard the cast. But i missed it in theatres ,the fact is it never released in this suckin to the core city Thiruchirapally.I bought the dvd and saw it.It was simply brilliant.

Ranbir Kapoor, i used to hate this guy after "jab se tere naina" strippin and then the tryin-to-be-too-cool-dude in "bachna-e-haseeno".And then all of a sudden he gives us a very sweet performance in wake up sid.
The movie is about a boy who has no aim in life and all he knows is to spend his papa's money. He meets an ambitious girl Aisha Banerjee ( konkona sen sharma)and a relation builds.Yes the story offers nothing new but the way the plot is carried is very refreshin and you feel it is a brand new story all over again.

The strength of the movie is in its cast.It was a very bold move to cast konkona opposite to ranbir and it has proved fruitful. They look sweet all throughout the movie and i love the tender bed scene with the mellifluous background score.

The music of the movie fits well,Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has done a decent job but the "iktara" and the background scores are the ones which give you the goosebumps. Amit Trivedi is a future aspect. The cinematography by Anil Mehta is breathtakin and aids the movie at crucial junctures. The debut director Ayan Mukherjee doesn disappoint.
Konkona has done a great job, i feel she is the shabana of the new world. The supportin cast is great which includes Supriya Patak and Anupam Kher. But it is Ranbir as Sidderth Mehra who makes you smile and puts a charm on you,you just cannot take eyes of him. With this coming of age story Ranbir's actin has also come of age.
As my friend Dhiren said you just want the movie to go on and on and on.....
